Having studied and worked in the Bath area for a number of years the architect, Nicholas Elkins, established the practice in 1983 to both design and then build his commissions.

About half of the projects are undertaken on a design and build basis with Nick actually involved on site every day. In the remaining cases we merely provide a traditional architectural design and supervision service.

The practice specialises in traditionally designed and constructed buildings and having worked continually in the same area has an extensive knowledge of local historical detailing and building methods.

Past projects have included, barn conversions, one off houses, the renovation and conservation of historic buildings, extensions and refurbishments to domestic properties, and educational facilities. However if the idea looks interesting we have also happily built garages, log stores and play houses.
