Services
The architectural services we provide can be spilt into 5 clear work stages:
Feasibility:
Undertaken prior to more detailed design work to ascertain the possibility for development on a prospective site or building. This can be as little as a few sketches and budget costings to a detailed report bringing together other specialists such as structural engineers, highways assessments or archeological surveys.
Sketch schemes:
Initial drawings of various ideas and options before production of finalised schematic drawings. This may include consultation with other interested parties such as Local authority Planning and conservation departments, or English Heritage.
Design Service:
Production of drawings and specifications, such that the building works can be executed. To obtain the necessary Local authority permissions including Planning, Listed building, and Building regulations.
Detailed working drawings and specifications such that tenders can be obtained, and a builder contracted to proceed.
Project Management:
During construction various services can be required. This can be as simple as being the client’s representative and voice at site meetings, through to the design and sourcing of elements not included in the initial design stage, such as interior fixtures and fittings or exterior landscaping and services.
Full service:
In addition to the above design and management services the supervision of the construction works, the management of contracts, certification of stage payments to completion, and any post contract maintenance period.
